Paid Financial Literacy Workshop for K-12 Teachers

Pollinate, the Teacher Financial Literacy Project, is looking for 12-16 K-12 teachers interested in improving their own financial literacy and that of their students. We are seeking creative teachers at all grade levels and disciplines. No prior financial knowledge or expertise is needed.

Participation Requirements

  • Desire to improve own financial literacy
  • Willingness to collaborate on the creation of age-appropriate financial literacy curriculum
  • Willingness to complete some course readings and activities prior to workshop
  • Ability to teach a few of the learned financial concepts to students during the 2010-11 school year
  • Willingness to share results of experience teaching these concepts in the classroom
  • Must be able to provide own transportation and lodging (if applicable) to Sacramento

When

Monday, November 22, 2010 and Tuesday, November 23, 2010
8:30am to 4:30pm each day

Payment

Participants will receive $150 shortly after completion of workshop. Participants will receive an additional $100 upon submission of feedback on their experience teaching a few learned concepts to students.

If you would like to be considered as a participant of Pollinate's paid financial literacy workshop this fall, please complete and submit the application below. The application deadline is November 10, 2010, and acceptance notification will be sent out no later than November 15, 2010.
